The IsraelNow program fee is all-inclusive, including airfare. The Greater MetroWest NJ area subsidized participant fee is $2,950. We can offer this significantly reduced rate thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters.

• Total Participation Fee (per family): $2,950
• With application – $500 deposit
• September 8 – First payment: $1,225
• September 22 – Final payment: $1,225

The actual cost of the trip is approximately $7,450 per teen. 

Yes, all Jewish students ages 13+ who reside in the Greater MetroWest community are eligible to receive a grant from Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ for travel to Israel on an educational peer group trip through our Passport to Israel scholarship program.

The IsraelNow MetroWest trip cancellation timeline is as follows:  

Cancellation on or before September 8, 2026
By giving Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ written notice of cancellation on or before September 8, 2026, a participant will be eligible for a full refund.

Cancellation between September 8, 2026 – September 22, 2026
By giving Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ written notice of cancellation between September 8, 2026 – September 22, 2026, a participant will be eligible for a refund of all money paid to Federation less $500.

Cancellation after September 22, 2026
No refunds will be granted after September 22, 2026. You must still submit written notice to Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ to formally withdraw from the program.

The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest offers a multitude of ways to stay engaged upon return and through each participants’ high school career. Following the trip, IsraelNow alumni will come together to explore programs offered through Federation and meet directly with our partner agencies and synagogues to find their local connection to our Jewish community. MetroWest NJ serves as the backbone of the Jewish community for people of all perspectives across five New Jersey counties including Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union and parts of Somerset.

Yes! As a part of building our IsraelNow community and getting to know your teen, there are three pre-trip events for our participants. You can find these tentative dates below. Once registered and confirmed, we will share the location and times. 

• The events will take place on Sunday mornings from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • January 10, 2027 – Orientation 1
  • January 24, 2027 – Orientation 2
  • February 7, 2027 – Final Orientation
  • March 14, 2027 – Trip Reunion Gathering

• IsraelNow will not travel to Israel if there remains an active state of war. As of now, we remain hopeful that the war will end and stability will return to the region, allowing our program to run uninterrupted.
• We continue to monitor the situation, including US State Department guidance, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, Airline policies, and our internal partners on the ground in Israel to get regular updates.
